Problem:
Although the main dining area and bar reflected the owner’s desired French bistro style, the restrooms did not. White walls and exposed fluorescent lighting boxes made relieving yourself a somewhat painful experience.
Solution:
Using the space’s existing color palette, we carried the French theme into the rest areas. Decoupaged accent walls made to look antique with ripped paper and vintage European wine and liquor labels, softened the look and added some intrigue. Using magnetic paint, the owners can now tastefully showcase fliers for upcoming specials and events. A custom-made screen and fabric skirting around the sink, plus strategic covers on the light boxes, further relaxed the feel of the space.
