Problem:
With a limited budget, Hospice opened a new thrift shop in the front bay of Willard Memorial Chapel. They needed to get up and running as quickly and inexpensively as possible.

Solution:
Word was sent out and Hospice quickly had numerous donations of shelving, clothing racks and a curved unit that would serve perfectly for the checkout counter. The problem was the counter was white, purple and gold, very dated. I glued scrapbooking papers to the surface to create a checkerboard pattern, with softer colors that had an antique feel. Now the piece blends well with the surrounding environment, and cost was minimum.
